Happy Thanksgiving! I just got out of the hospital the day before yesterday so this year we’re doing a low-key version. No turkey (since in Spain, that needs to be ordered a few days before) but there will be a roast chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. For dessert I’m planning an apple pie since that is Nico’s favorite. For inspiration, I’ve been looking at these cute pie illustrations the 1900 book “A is For Apple Pie” by Kate Greenaway. The fortunes of an apple pie as dictated by the alphabet!
I’m still not sure which pie recipe I’ll use but I’m considering using one of the following:
